There is a new meaning to “The Total Package.” Elizabeth Styles born Mary Elizabeth Garuccio in Brooklyn, NY on December 17th, 1984 is rapidly gaining recognition on a global scale.
At the age of five, entertaining became second nature to Styles, performing for friends and family. By the age of 12, Elizabeth and her family moved to Staten Island, NY, which is we’re she discovered her passion to sing.
Soon after, Styles put together a Pop girl group and in the process developed into a songwriter. After three years of ups and downs, all members of the group parted ways, igniting Elizabeth's dedication for success, resulting in achievements deemed impossible by many.
At 17, Elizabeth’s long time friends, Haghi “NV” Suka (CEO and founder of NewGround Entertainment) and Kelby Tejeda (VP and Co-Founder of NewGround Entertainment), approached her with the offer of being part of their new independent record label, NewGround Entertainment. She gladly accepted.
With NewGround's help, Elizabeth proceeded to work on developing her solo career. During this time, Styles worked on choreography and teaching Hip Hop, while auditioning for lead roles in plays and later auditioning for popular TV shows such as American Idol and Making the Band 3. She took every experience and used it to build her unique sound and style.
In 2008, Elizabeth received an opportunity to work alongside President Barack Obama for his Presidential Campaign. Obama's hard work and dedication showed her what it takes to pursue the impossible and opened her eyes to more possibilities.
While travelling abroad, Styles maintained a very aggressive performance agenda. By doing so, her name is now being echoed by fans in countries such as Ireland, Germany and Japan.
With Hits like Raw and Energy, Styles is ready to take over the role of Pop Icon. Her passion for music will undoubtedly insure a bright and successful future in the entertainment business. Elizabeth Styles' limits are truly endless.
