Mevljud Boljevic, also known as Mel, was born on December 12, 1988 in Bar, Montenegro. From a very early age, Mel discovered his passion for music and knew that it was his true calling in life. At the age of 11, he began playing the piano and was beginning to gain a great deal of popularity in his hometown of Bar. He knew, however, that there was much more to be accomplished.

At the age of 14, he moved to Staten Island, NY with his family. Mel, with a great deal of confidence, knew that he would now have the opportunity to pursue his career in music.

After graduating high school, Mel immediately decided to take an Electronic Music Production course at the School of Audio Engineering (SAE) in New York City, during which he was introduced by a mutual friend to Haghi “NV” Suka (recording artist and CEO of NewGround Entertainment).  Inspired by each other’s love for music, they immediately began working together. Mel knew he was on the right path to success.

Despite his busy schedule, Mel received his certification in Electronic Music Production shortly after his meeting with NV. For Mel, this great accomplishment wasn’t enough. He decided to push himself even further by joining the Audio Technology program at SAE. Months later, Mel quickly began to realize the harsh struggle that it takes to achieve greatness.

In December 18, 2010, after months of late night studying and around the clock production work for NewGround, Mel graduated SAE and was awarded a diploma in Audio Technology. Beginning to see his dream come into fruition, Mel knew there was no limit to his talents.

Today, Mel continues to build his reputation globally alongside the NewGround family, and currently freelances for some of the most elite recording facilities in New York City, such as Integrated Studios.

There is no telling what to expect next from this uniquely talented musician, but it is very likely his passion for music will ensure nothing but success in his future!

Mevljud Boljevic (Born December 12, 1988) known as Mel, is a producer/engineer from Staten Island, New York. He grew up in Bar-Montenegro (former Yugoslavia) where he started playing piano/keys since he was in elementary school. He moved to Staten Island, New York when he was 14 years old, went to high school and dedicated his free time to music and pursuing a potential music career. After graduating high school he decided to take an Electronic Music Production course at SAE (Manhattan, New York) and after he was certified with that completion he wanted to take it a bit further so he joined the Audio Technology Program at SAE (Manhattan, New York) where he graduated in December 18, 2010 and was awarded with an Audio Technology Diploma. He is currently interning at Integrated Studios in Manhattan, New York, and is also collaborating with NewGround Entertainment productions with NV and also works in various projects as a freelance engineer.
